No Lost Sheep
Welcome to what will be various ways for Worship
And now, as we begin;
Lord, be with us, comfort us.
Lord give us Your Presence, with Your Peace and Love,
That we may endure and understand,
What it is for each of us, how we may Love.
In Jesus’s name.
The Preeminence of Christ, The Total Adequacy of Christ, The Hymn to Christ, The Person of Christ, And, The church is reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.
Speaking of Colossians 1:15-20, this hymn, poem, is considered by some to be the greatest tribute to Christ in the whole Bible.

“He is the image of the unseen God and the first-born of all creation, for in him were created all things in heaven and on earth: everything visible and everything invisible, Thrones, Dominations, Sovereignties, Powers – all things were created through him and for him. Before anything was created, he existed, and he holds all things in unity. Now the Church is his body, he is its head. As he is the Beginning, he was first to be born from the dead, so that he should be first in every way; because God wanted all perfection to be found in him and all things to be reconciled through him and for him, everything in heaven and everything on earth, when he made peace by his death on the cross.” JB
We have creation. – He is the firstborn.
We have Jesus holding everything together. – Made through and for Him.
We have the blood of Jesus on the cross, creating His church. – He is the firstborn from the realms of the dead.
Just Jesus! Nothing beyond Christ is necessary. Noting beyond Jesus will do. He is Everything. Jesus is Here so we may receive Him into our lives, personally, and then He receives us. We are then His forever. Forever in His Presence, His Peace, His Perpetually Healing Love. He is always working in our lives.
If you have never said it, Jesus forgive my sins. Jesus be in me. Jesus renew me.
We stray. Yes, all of us stray. However, since we are in Him, we can never go beyond where He is able to receive us and bring us back in His Love. We have been Reconciled, now and in the future as we seek to be in Him and receive His Presence, Peace and the Power of Healing His Love.
Through this, Jesus reveals who God is, and our first and most appropriate reaction is Gratitude. But there is more. We receive knowledge of Him, and we are called to learn more and grow. We are called to serve Him through sharing His Word. Some are ministers. Some are caregivers. Some are servants of the church and to the many ministries available to be served. We give our money and our time in gratitude of His Reconciliation of us.
Choices! What do we choose? How do we spend our time? How does He spend time with us?
By spending our time with the Lord, He is able to spend time with us. How much do you want the Lord to spend time with you? How much time are you willing to spend with Him, in His Presence, and receiving His Presence, His Peace, His Love?
By giving to Him you allow Him to give more to you. Yes, He is with you always. How much more are you willing to receive from Him? – – – by spending more time with Him?
I have heard the question, “Why would God want to spend eternity with us if we don’t want to spend time with Him?”
Because He loves us!
I choose Jesus as my constant Companion!
Since Paul said, “I am now rejoicing in my sufferings for your sake,” we, also, each, have focuses and responsibilities that can demand much from our living. Despite questioning what is happening in our lives, we are given the Hope of Glory, Jesus Christ in each of us. Reconciled by Him, to Him.
In times of contemplation, we ask Him to forgive our sins, and be in us, renew us, and sustain us as we trust in Him. As we focus on our lives, we also focus on Jesus in our lives. We pray for His Presence, Peace, and Love, which sustains us. In all of our struggles and difficulties, we thank the Lord for being with us in such a powerful way, and giving us the trust and faith to know He is always with us.
In being reconciled to God our Father, we are not to just enjoy a passive relationship with Him, but also an active faith in serving His purposes. Realizing we don’t always “feel” what is happening or “sense” His presence, but continuing in the efforts and challenges to make Him real to others.
Jesus is a participation activity, sport. Don’t be on the sidelines.
Irresistible!
Irresistible, what does that mean?
Speaking of Paul: “It is for this I struggle wearily on, helped only by His Power driving me irresistibly.” JB
Paul being driven – – irresistibly…
Irresistibly, such a driving thought, such motivation!
What is your Irresistible?
We – serve – the – Lord – – – Irresistibly!
